LAGOON OF CONDORES (LAGUNA DE LOS CONDORES)

At 93 km to the south of the city of Chachapoyas (3 hours 30 minutes in car) you arrive until the locality of Leymebamba, from here, you need to cross 45 km to arrive the lagoon (12 hours on foot and in mule). The presence of a guide is required obligatorily.

Also well-known like Mummies Lagoon since in a ledge - "farallón" located in his borders were found more than 200 momias in good state of conservation in spite of the warm and humid climate of the zone. Accompanying to the momias were found around 3000 objects pertaining to the cultures Inca and Chachapoya. The farallon is decorated with cave paintings.
