OSSEOUS REMAINS OF CHACHAPOYAS CULTURE
The funeral cults of the Chachapoyas Culture are not very known but something is sure, to bury to their deads they looked for places protected of rain.
In relation to the burials they had two types: those that became in rows and the individual ones. In the case of the individual ones, they looked for inaccessible places, then they did pictorial impressions in the walls of cliffs, with whitish, yellowish and reddish tonalities.
This characteristic is repeated in all the cases, this was the reason for what it was easy to know where their deads were buried. The problem is that this data was also used by the huaqueros, reason why great part of the tombs was sacked.
