CAPTAINSHIP

The bullfighting celebration of occcidental origin, to its arrival to Peru, is assimilated by the inhabitants of the coast with its original characteristics; whereas in the mountain range it is it with own ingredients of the zone, imposed by the talent of its inhabitants.

This it is the case of the dance CAPTAINSHIP, costumbrista expression of the district of Soras, province of Sucre, department of AYACUCHO.

The supervisory and popular celebrations of Soras, become rich with the presence of groups of settlers, who taken by the euphoria, often as a result of the licor, loosen to the yearling calf to measure their fierceness.

Here neither sword is no layer, is perforated nor no thrust, is necessary to face the bull, between applause and shouts of joy.

It is a propitious occasion so that the Soreña woman demonstrates her force, anger and ability when facing fierecilla, yearling calf or heifer to which amusingly and picardia it manages to defeat it with insinuantes and sensual movements of hip.
