Danza guerrera que se origina con la llegada de las tropas del Inca Mayta Cápac al Valle del Colca, con la intención de conquistar a los Collaguas que moraban por esta zona, logrando su propósito por medio de una alianza matrimonial, ya que logra casarse con la Princesa Collagua. Esta danza se baila en todo el Valle del Colca siendo la fecha principal el 8 de Diciembre, en homenaje a la Virgen de la Asunción de Chivay, y esta ya es un aporte religioso que llega con la conquista de los españoles.
